DJ EPSR @ TacoLand

Come on out to the spot of the original TacoLand. Be glad it’s at least still a bar and was not torn down to make way for more condos or another upscale hipster restaurant. DJ EPSR will be spinning records at Viva Taco Land Friday night from 9pm to 2am. He is digging up some records from bands that have played there and of those that can only wish they had! In Ram’s words, “Don’t be a pussy”!

High Voltage: Teens on a Mission

Teens on a mission was created to give talented teens in the San Antonio area a place shine during our official 300th Tricentennial event. Teens can submit applications to be a part of this event by being a part of the entertainment(although we are booked we encourage your teen and band to submit an application form in case someone cancels and to be considered for future events), a vendor selling their arts and crafts or Artist with work showing in the gallery. It is an outdoor event in the heart of the Southside of San Antonio at the recently renovated grounds of the old Mission Drive-in. The Mission Marquee Plaza still hosts movies and events on a preserved screen that is now attached to a stage and large lawn area. The location is an area that is sometimes lost in the city, yet is rich in culture as it sits next to the historical Mission San Jose, the new Mission Library and brand-new YWCA. Live Music & Art, Vendors, Food, Film and will make this a fun filled cultural experience for teens. Limited-edition t-shirts and other merch will be for sale. All proceeds will benefit operational costs and free year-round workshops for teens.

Daisy & Buck performance of "Scratch-n-Stitch", by DJ EPSR & Missy Martinez

10th Annual Luminaria, Hemisfair, downtown San Antonio, TX  7pm to Midnight

We will be performing on the porch of the Longini Hermann house:

7:30 - 8pm

9 - 10pm

10:45 - 11pm

Husband and wife artist team, EPSR and Missy Martinez, will perform side by side exhibiting their individual passions in parallel. DJ EPSR manipulates sound with the needle of his record players.  Missy manipulates fabric and thread through the needles of her sewing machines.  One creating beats and music and auditory entertainment, one creating tangible pieces of fabric art to be freely given away to guests.  Needle vs. Needle.  A battle, a dance, a cooperative lineal work of audio, visual, and performance art.
